FSU athletic director Pat Haden is seeking to fill the vacant athletic director position that will be vacated by Joe DeRosa, who resigned from his position this week.
The university announced Friday that it had hired Rob Hulshaker, who spent two seasons at FSU’s basketball and baseball programs, to fill that position.
“We have been working closely with Rob to secure his services,” Haden said in a statement.
“Rob is an accomplished recruiter and has a proven track record of building a program that is committed to improving student-athlete development and academic performance.”
The announcement comes a day after DeRosons departure from FSU.
The football program will continue to have its athletics director until a new one is hired.
DeRoseras resignation comes amid a national uproar over the sexual assault allegations against the football coach.FSU has not released any details about its new athletic director.
Hulshakers responsibilities include overseeing recruiting, player development and football operations.
He will be the first FSU assistant athletic director to hold a position in his position.
Hulhaker also spent the past two years at West Virginia and was an assistant coach at FCS Fayetteville (Ark.)
